The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Eastern Ontario Branch, Recognition Award For Outstanding Commitment to the community.

The "Joseph Walsh Award" was presented to the artist for twenty-five years of continuous and unfailing support for the Big Brothers Association of Ottawa and District.

"The Bernard Aime Poulin Art Scholarships". Two scholarships were created in the name of the artist by the Hadassah-Wizo Organization of Canada, in honour of the artist's devotion to, and successful career in, the visual arts and also for his unwavering contribution to the community and those in need.

A thirty-five year retrospective of the artist's work was presented at the Galerie Educative De la Salle in Ottawa, Canada. Work created by the artist from the age of ten to the present was displayed.

Awarded the Capital Civitan Club of Ottawa life membership in the Distinguished Citizen Club of Ottawa
