Northumberland Strait, at Shediac, stretches and curves from northwest down to southeast, separating the north shore of New Brunswick from the southwestern beaches of Prince Edward Island. That this water passage would freeze over is almost inconceivable - but it does and the silent and stark beauty of it all is mesmerizing.
