The painting shows Frank O'Dea standing "above and beyond" the Ottawa valley where he resides. A visionary and licensed pilot, it is not surprising, to those who know and love him, that I have posed him among the clouds. If an artist is someone who "from something ordinary" creates something extraordinary than Frank O'Dea is an artist. A gentle giant of mind and heart I am not only proud to have been commissioned to paint his portrait, I am most proud to be a friend. |

A founder of the Second Cup chain Frank O'Dea also created the ProShred company. He is a founder and board member of Street Kids International, the founding Chair of the Canadian Landmines Foundation and the first Chair of War Child (Canada). A most respected motivational speaker, Mr. O'Dea is the recipient of an Honourary Degree of Laws from Royal Roads University and was awarded the highest accolade of Canada by being named : Officer of the Order of Canada - this for his contribution to business, politics and philanthropy over the last three decades.
