Tolerance connotes "enduring" not recognizing another. A society which holds dear the 19th century concept of tolerance as a quality is yet incapable of the more sophisticated recognition of the equality of an “other”. - 01-10-05

Only through democracy are the finest forms of freedom of expression possible. And yet contemporary democracy’s paranoia, its ever-increasing penchant for acts of  "imposition of itself", of world regulation of rule and law, will damage and even destroy its very essence - its creativity and self expression.
