Gary is a painter's wish - not just a poser but a collaborator. He modelled for me in the 1980s - between the ages of 5 and 7. An incredible personality, he was completely at ease with varieties of expressions and body language. Working with such a quick mind and wit was a real pleasure. (He once "explained" that a particular Picasso sketch he was studying was better than another . . .  and why.). . . . !
