John Kelly founded and was Chief Executive Officer of Why Interactive, Canada's first interactive multimedia development company. He was also founder, President and Chief Executive Officer at both Computer Innovation Distributors (now NexInnovations) and Nabu Network, a pioneering cable-based software and information distributor. A founder of SHL Systemhouse, John served as Senior Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer.
John Co-Chairs the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA), Canada's largest association representing the advanced technology industry to Government and the public.
