As a birthday gift for my wifre I designed a fireplace for our combination kitchen and den. As the house overall is quite contemporary with clean lines there is always room for whimsy and a focal point with "character". We both love French and Bermudian architectural details so my design incorporated these elements. To the left you see a photo I took through the doorway of a home being renovated in the south of France. This was my base idea.
