Maple and Acrylic and Fantasy Paintings - 43' x 8'5"

The Children's Hospital Anniversary Wall is a hodgepodge  of adult information and 2 and 3-dimensional child-friendly imagery. Adult visitors can review the history of the hospital which is always directly linked to children and their activities throughout the mural.

While I worked ont this project, even at 2 and 3 o'clock in the morning, a child toting an IV might walk or be wheeled by. They'd stop and chat and some would even participate in painting a cloud or adding a thought to the "chalkboard sky".

I loved doing this mural.

Le mur du 25e anniversaire est un méli-mélo d'information célébrant l'évolution de l'hôpital et de formes et symboles de vie enfantine.

Lorsque je travaillais l'oeuvre de 2 et 3 dimensions, que ce soit à 2h du matin ou 17h l'après-midi, les enfants accompagnés de leur accoutrement intraveneuse ou en chaise roulante examinaient, souriaient. Certains ont même participé - peignant leur propres nuages ou ajoutant quelques mots au ciel bleu.

J'ai beaucoup aimé participer à la création de ce mur.
